This guide contains user documentation for the ASU Research Data Repository, powered by the Dataverse software. You will find information about using the repository, tools, and templates for outreach and training. We also provide suggestions for writing the repository into your data management plan. This guide is ever-growing and changing. While primarily aimed at researchers submitting their research data as a scholarly output of their work, it will also include information for people looking to find and use research data.

Find key repository features and our scope of services on the About page. If you are new to the repository, we recommend reading through our Policies and then continuing to the Getting Started with Datasets pages. Curators and users can find more detailed information on the official Dataverse software user guide.

Introduction video to the ASU Research Data Repository (Length: 1 minute)

ASU's Research Data Repository is a publishing platform for sharing, downloading, archiving, and exploring research data produced by ASU-affiliated research projects powered by the open-source Dataverse software developed by Harvard University. When you publish with us, you will work with librarians, curators, and technology experts to make your data more discoverable to the research community. Datasets are indexed in a library and disciplinary search interfaces and will show up in searches with other research outputs. With the Built-in DOI registration, users can confidently cite and publish datasets. We also connect your data sets to the originally supported journal articles, disciplinary repositories, and content of ASU's institutional repository, KEEP. The ASU Research Data Repository is a part of ASU's university-wide data management and sharing efforts
